Responsible AI: a guide for families
How to talk to children aged 6 to 10 about what AI is, where it fails and what they should never share.

Children learn best through stories. Explain that AI is like a very clever parrot: it repeats patterns, but does not truly understand and sometimes makes things up. Keep the rules simple: never share a full name, address or password; always show an adult what the AI answered; and remember that an image can be fake. Screen-free activities can also teach computational thinking.
